Q1: Who is Visualizing Data with Spotfire for?
This course is for beginner and intermediate Spotfire users. If you're new to Spotfire, this course starts at square one and walks you through the software with step-by-step instructions. If you've been using Spotfire for a while but want to get better, this course will help you become more proficient and learn best practices. The examples and data used throughout the training are geared towards the oil and gas industry - but it's not exclusively for oil and gas (see question 3 below).
Q2: Why is there an enrollment deadline?
This is the first time launching this course publicly, so we want to make sure everyone has the best possible experience. By closing enrollment, we can focus on helping everyone get the most out of the course and provide timely support.
Q3: What if I'm not in oil and gas - is this course still for me?
The short answer is Yes. While the course has many oil and gas use cases, you will still learn how to use Spotfire by taking this course. The examples may not be as relevant to you, but the Spotfire features and steps to add data, configure visualizations, etc are the same, regardless of industry.
Q4: What if I'm not completely satisfied?
Nothing is worse than buyer's remorse. That's why we're offering a free trial to preview several lessons. Q5: How long can I access the content?
Once enrolling, you have 24/7 access to all training content and downloads for 1 full year.
Q6: If I don't buy now, when will this course be available again?
This course is currently being offered during a limited launch period with a fixed deadline (see question 2 above). Enrollment will likely open again in the future, but at this point we don't have an exact date - it could be months from now.
Q7: What payment options are available?
We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, bank transfers and checks. If you don't see an option that works for you on the checkout page, just let us know and we'll work something out! You can pay with a one time purchase (best deal) or pay over time with a payment plan.
Q8: Do I need Spotfire installed?
In order to follow along with the videos and get the most from this course, we recommend having Spotfire (version 7.6 or later) installed on your computer. If you don't have it, just download a free trial version here: https://spotfire.tibco.com/trial. Alternatively, you can watch the videos without following along with the examples in Spotfire.
Q9: Does this work worldwide?
Yes, all of the course content is hosted online and is available worldwide to anyone with internet access.
Q10: Can I take this at my own pace or do I have to follow a schedule?
This is a self paced course, which means you get access to all of the content immediately. You can complete the training in one day, or work through it over time. The videos can be watched multiple times - there is no viewing limit during your access period (see question 5 above).
Q11: How long will it take me to complete this course?
If you watch all videos from start to finish without stopping, it will take about 5.5 hours to complete the course. However, we recommend taking your time and following along with the examples, practicing on your own, and re-watching videos to re-enforce the concepts.
